Biography
Ricardo will join as an Assistant Professor of Computational Statistics starting in the fall term of 2025. Since 2022, he has been an instructor at Caltech in Computing and Mathematical Sciences. Prior to Caltech, he earned his PhD at MIT in Computational Science and Engineering, specializing in the Uncertainty Quantification Group, and completed his BASc in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. His work focuses on developing the mathematical foundations and guarantees for probabilistic machine learning models, with a broad interest in applying these models to science and engineering problems.
