The Society of Actuaries (SOA) Candidate Connect Toronto event will take place on Sept. 13 in Toronto.
This event is designed with Canadian actuarial students in mind. We’ll focus on how to maximize networking opportunities to land a job, grow within a company while working, or doing an internship, balancing exams and work/school, and much more.
The afternoon will kick off with a workshop led by Canadian business leader Tony Bagnato, where he’ll focus on how to:
- Create an impactful first impression
- Communicate your story with confidence
- Develop and deliver your personal value
Tony leads the consulting firm, The Confidence Advantage, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience as an accomplished Financial Services Executive. In his last role, Tony was the Vice President of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Insurance’s Stales Advice Center, leading a team of more than 600 employees.
As a bonus, all attendees will have a chance to enter to win one, one-on-one, one-hour session with Tony (there will be two sessions awarded).
There’ll also be a panel of local actuaries answer questions and share their perspective on exams, the actuarial career in Canada, and more.
